A whimsical world of wonder, where gnomes wander, snails move slowly, and small moments matter.
This space was created from a deep need to slow down, to create, and to find light in the middle of life’s more tender seasons. It’s also a gentle reminder that we can always begin again, that joy still belongs here, and that playfulness, curiosity, and childlike wonder are not things we outgrow, but things we return to.
Through art, storytelling, and quiet reflection, Eeks & Squeaks invites you to reconnect with yourself, with nature, and with the simple magic woven into everyday life.
I’m so glad you’re here.

Hi, I’m Melissa, the artist, word-weaver, and quiet dreamer behind Eeks & Squeaks.
Once upon a time, I was a holistic doctor of chiropractic, massage therapist, and energy healer. I owned a thriving healing practice that I built from the ground up. However, when the world shifted in 2020, so did my life. I chose to let it all go and let Spirit lead, trusting I would be guided to where I was meant to be next. That path, albeit not very straight, led me to meet new versions of myself, and kindred souls along the way. It carried me around the country with a year-long “pit stop” in Arkansas and back home again to Buffalo, NY with a husband (Jason) and a baby (Margot) in my belly.
Life transformed again in the fall of 2024, when our 13-month-old daughter was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition, Nephropathic Cystinosis. Since then, my world has centered around her—learning, growing, and stepping into motherhood in a deeper, more intentional way than I ever could have imagined.
Through it all, creativity has been my anchor.
What began as a personal outlet to process and cope has grown into a space where imagination, playfulness, connection, and healing can coexist. I find so much fulfillment in creating—whether through drawing, painting, or writing—and in sharing that with others, especially fellow caregivers and chronic illness warriors.
This journey has softened the way I see life. It’s shown me that titles don’t really matter, boxes are meant to be busted open, and expectations should be thrown out the window. It’s shown me the beauty in small moments, the importance of staying curious, and the quiet magic that still exists, even in hard seasons.
Through my letters, illustrations, and guided healing journeys, I share both the light and the tender parts of this experience. At its heart, my work is an offering of love—a way to connect, to heal, and to remind you that softness, creativity, and joy still belong to you. 🌿
